Ezinc Thermosiphon System with Buildaroo.com

Ezinc features a 46 gallon thermosiphon system, which is manufactured in Turkey. Ezinc has been in business for 26 years and this product has been accepted all over the world. Daniel from buildaroo.com interviews Terry from Ezinc at the InterSolar Conference in San Francisco, CA 2009. The thermo-siphon system has a closed loop system with a heat exchange inside. Cold water comes into the reservoir, absorbs the heat and then comes out hot and ready to be used. Ezinc is applicable to most houses and should be efficient for a family of 3 or 4. After only 4 hours of sunlight a day the water temperature can get up to 160-170 degrees Fahrenheit. The technology used for this system is basic copper and aluminum extrusions with tempered glass. The temper glass absorbs heat and is non-reflective, which allows heat to come inside of the system but the heat cannot come back out. This product is green because it does not use any electricity and it saves electricity by about 20-25%. There are different size systems between 80-120 gallons. Ezinc uses UV rays to heat up the water so it does not need direct sunlight in order to be a sufficient source of hot water.
