World's Largest Offshore Wind Farm

Vattenfall Lays Last Foundation of What Will Be the World's Largest Offshore Wind Farm off the UK Coast. Swedish energy company Vattenfall, drove the 100th - and last - foundation of what will be the largest offshore wind farm in the world, into the seabed off the Kent coast on January 23. Vattenfall plans to generate electricity for the first time from the Thanet Offshore Wind Farm later this year.

That should be big enough to find out what sort of impacts a largish collection of wind turbines have on continental shelf fisheries.

However the whole build-it-first-and figure-out-what-you've done-to-the-environment-later attitude that suffuses the industrial windies in Maine, who positively sneer at the inevitable degradations are insufferable
